Testimonials

  • Thank you for all Wiscarson Law has done for us through the years!! You have been a life saver.

  • Helped us understand our position in dealing with the school district regarding our son and his placement in a program that was not going to benefit him. The firm gave us options to try on our own instead of just marching into court, which we greatly appreciated. I can recommend Wiscarson Law without hesitation or reservation!

  • After spending, hours, days, weeks, and months advocating for our daughter and trying to understand the PPS school system along with their requirements to children with special needs. Trying to learn and understand my daughter's challenges while relying on the school for aid and direction with no real support. We continued to hold meetings with school staff, teachers, principals and even PPS representatives- I felt like no one was listening to me nor did they seem to care much about my daughter's needs. We were feeling so unheard that we removed our child from PPS and placed her in a school more specific to her learning style and needs. We had attended several IEP meetings; we signed off on them all and agreed for the most part to the information that was being presented to us. I now know at the time I understood nothing that was being presented. What I didn't understand is how the IEP effectively works and where it failed my daughter until meeting with Diane. We entrusted in the wrong people for direction and were lead down a path to nowhere with only our daughter to suffer in the end. Diane stood up for our daughter and explained her rights. She took the time to ensure we understood the information being presented to us and the options then available to our daughter. She gave us hope when we were starting to lose it all. We highly recommend making the call to Diane- Peace of mind is freeing-truly liberating and knowing you have Diane on your side will bring all the confidence and direction you need.

  • Christopher, By the way, Thank You SO Much!!! I cannot begin to tell you how appreciative I am of you and all the work you do for both kids. I'm so tired of always seeming to have to fight, fight, fight for what are the kids' rights, or to get them what they deserve. I just feel like throwing in the towel at times, and this is one of those times when I would have just said....[to my daughter], it's not right, it's not fair, but we have no choice. I am so thankful that we have you to help us through all this. It may seem like minor things to some people, but these minor things just add up....and up...and up. I've been fighting this school district for her since she was in 3rd grade. We fought for [our son] for 1st and 2nd grade and realized he wasn't going to get what was needed if they weren't even providing it for [our daughter] (who is much more impacted by her autism), so put it on the back burner until he hit middle school and I knew it would be an issue that could not be ignored any longer. And even then, I had to hire Diane for [my son] to get what he needed. I am so thankful I found her. I am so thankful you are there for us.

  • Diane was both very helpful and reasonable about what to expect. But the most helpful thing about her law firm was the time they took educating us on our rights and teaching us how to be our own advocates. Felt like the money was well worth it.

  • Thank you for your help, professionalism, and patience, because without your help we could not resolve our problem.

  • Thank you for your time. Your advice about the son's situation made me feel much better. And, it was spot on!

  • Diane made all the difference in the world to my son and our entire family. Prior to working with her, my son was not receiving appropriate services or having his rights protected, despite all of my best efforts. When Diane joined his team, all of that changed. Her style avoids unnecessary confrontation, is extremely respectful of all participants in the process and makes a world of difference. Simply put, Diane saves lives. In the years we worked with her, I have also recommended her to two friends who have also hired Diane. The challenges the other two children have faced were quite different than those experienced by my son, but the results were the same. Great service, great insight and FINALLY a chance to receive free and appropriate public education!

  • Diane has been a part of our family's life for a long time. She helped us overcome tremendous obstacles to get what was needed for our son from the local school district. She helped the district understand that [our son's] interests and dreams have been consistent since the beginning of his schooling, they are not just our wishes for him. She helped us to stand up for [our son]. Her skilled diplomacy was crucial to the success of both sides in many situations. She has always been there for us and we know she always will be. We thank her for being a part of [our son's] life.

  • I am a transactional attorney who generally believes that reasonable people can always find a path to resolving their differences. At least I believed that until I had to deal with [District] regarding my son receiving the services he needed and which [District] is obligated to provide. Faced with an early morning meeting with [District], we called Wiscarson Law. Our call was returned promptly and Christopher offered to meet with us that evening and join us at our meeting the next day. Christopher listened to our situation and our goals for our son. He explained our rights and the practicalities of dealing with [District] and the individuals involved. He then took charge, contacting [District]'s counsel to notify them that he would be attending our meeting in the morning and arranging to meet in advance with the administrator who that had been an absolute impediment to any workable solution. When we arrived Christopher informed us that [District] had agreed to the resolution we desired. This was, to say the least, an enormous relief. Following this, Christopher kept in regular contact with us, and helped ensure that any needed follow up was taken care of effectively and efficiently. As an attorney, I can honestly say that Christopher is a credit to the profession and I would recommend him whole heartedly. My only regret is that we didn't engage him or Diane Wiscarson much sooner. Our experience with [District] would undoubtedly have been much more productive or at least less stressful.

  • Our family would not have the happiness we enjoy, if not for the help Diane encouraged the District to give our girl.

  • Attorney Diane Wiscarson is a rare combination of expertise, straight-shooting directness, genuine unpretentious warmth, and passion for what she does. Our family has been consulting her periodically since 2007. At that time, she got the best available in-district public school services lined up for our special-needs nephew; when those proved inadequate, she told us, with her typical integrity, that she was unwilling to waste our money any longer pursuing the district in a case we would almost certainly lose. She let us know, not just as a lawyer but as a trusted observer, that her personal experience had led her to believe that our nephew needed intensive residential treatment (an observation that turned out to be spot-on). She then found us the out-of-state educational consultants we have worked with ever since to determine the appropriate placements for him. Recently, we turned again to Wiscarson Law with questions occasioned by the fact that our Spectrum-issues family member is now almost an adult and may well end up back in his home state, dependent on whatever public services he is entitled to as a disabled adult. Diane is very much aware, having worked with families like ours for years, that, as difficult as it is to force the state to grant special needs children the education to which they are entitled, the issues and the legal/bureaucratic labyrinth these young people face once they are no longer minors is in some ways even more frightening and confusing. We had no idea what we were facing around guardianship, SSI and disability applications, available group home settings and residential programs in the metropolitan area, etc. Diane referred us to her assistant, Lidia, who did a superb job in filling us in and getting together what information and resources she could, pending our family member's return to the state. Indeed, Diane's staff in general seem to display the same genuinely warm efficiency she does; queries are responded to in a timely manner and there have never been billing problems. The firm will continue to be our first stop and go-to Oregon resource in the ongoing struggle to find the best possible solutions and legal arrangement for our special-needs family member.

  • Diane not only was very well educated in education law, she made it easy for us to understand the laws by explaining things in everyday language for us. She kept us included in all emails to and from all parties and worked at getting us exactly what she said she could do.

  • We just wanted to say "Thank You" for all your help and support. Both of our kids have both had a successful school year, and we are very appreciative of all the guidance that you have given us through the years. With Best Regards.

  • Finally, I thank Diane Wiscarson. She was [my son's] attorney during the dark public school years. Her competence, knowledge, honesty, and friendship are something I treasure. Diane held my hand, and told me to get a grip on myself when needed; and more specifically kept me out of jail during IEP meetings. She is someone I treasure.

  • Thanks again for your help, and I appreciate all the fantastic work that you and everyone at the office do to help families in need, including mine!

  • Thanks Diane, for all you do for our family. We are lucky to have you watching our backs!

  • Diane Wiscarson is a well known Attorney with a passion for helping families and individuals with Special Needs receive the appropriate services and legal advice needed to turn a bad situation into a positive outcome. She gets straight to the point and never backs down when defending your child's rights to an FAPE. I was so impressed with the way that she put's her whole heart into something and the final results reflected such a positive outcome for both sides. I left our mediation knowing that things would be changed for the better and that if I ever needed someone to have my back again that she's just a phone call away. I most definitely would recommend her to everyone, especially those who have children with Special Needs. Our children's disabilities are going to be unique and ever changing and we need someone by our side to represent them in these tough times. Thanks again, Diane and staff for always being so positive and listening to a parent concerns.

  • I hope you know how deeply grateful I am for your representation. I never in a million years thought I'd need a lawyer for anything substantive. Crazy, right? I've been so impressed by your approach to everything, and I am very glad that we have you on our side. I'm learning a thing or two about how to be a lawyer, too. Thank you.

  • The team we have now is great and things seem to be going smoothly thanks to your help. :) I appreciate everything that you have done to help us and will recommend you to anyone that needs help like we did.

  • Thank you! Thank you! for taking the time to talk with me about my son. I felt you were amazing and totally on our side.

  • When we were toasting the things we were grateful for this past year, you were at the top of our list! Thank you, Diane!

  • Thanks for checking in! [Our son] is doing great! He was actually excited about returning to school after Christmas break to see his friends. This is a first! The year has been going terrific for him. We could not be happier. Thanks so much for all your help! You are the BEST investment ever!!!

  • Your hard work for all of your clients is amazing. Children need a zealous advocate and no one dos that better than you. You have made A HUGE difference in getting [my son's] academic and personal life back on track. Thank you so much!

  • I contacted Diane after having repeated concerns with my son's school personnel regarding various legalities of his IEP. Diane was extremely knowledgeable in all facets of his situation & advised me appropriately re what issues to pursue. She knows many of the ESD players involved & this proved insightful. When the ESD learned Diane was on board they immediately towed a much straighter line. Her record of settling out of court further underscores her reputation as a formidable advocate for SpEd kids. If you are dealing with tough issues concerning your child's education I highly recommend contacting Diane. Her non-nonsense demeanor serves to cut to the meat of the matter directly, which translates into a more cost-effective endeavor. Diane, & her office staff & environs are exceedingly professional & efficient, & I felt very confident in entrusting my son's situation over to her practice. THANK YOU, DIANE!

  • Mr. Hamilton did an excellent job assisting me through the guardianship process. He was timely, honest and, compassionate. If Christopher was unsure about a specific questions, he was not afraid to research the answer and quickly respond. This is the mark of a professional. Guardianship process was smooth, and Christopher answered all my questions to my satisfaction. I highly recommend Christopher, and have to my friends who are approaching this unsettling time with their soon-to-be adult children with a disability.

  • Thank you again for what you have done for our family! [Our son] has all As, Bs, and Cs for 1st quarter grades. We only use his aid for part of his classes but not for all. He is growing up and beyond his learning and developmental challenges.

  • Christopher was awesome, I mean awesome today at my son's IEP. He was sharp as a cookie, and pleasant, warm, friendly, astute, professional, and totally on top of it. You would have been so proud, He represents your law firm so very well Diane. You made an excellent selection in bringing him on board.

  • Please close our case. We know how to find you if needed. A job well done, and a great outcome! Thanks again for the hard work and great advice!

  • Perfect! Again, thanks for doing your job so dang well! I am so thankful of what has become of this for [my child's] next few years.

  • Thank you - will never be able to come close to expressing the gratitude that I feel for you walking through this with me. I know my son is challenging and thanks to you, we now have a true viable chance of piercing through all of that and getting to [my son's] true potential.

  • Hi Diane, You are awesome. Thank you so very much for taking on this case and helping [my son]. You are a darn good attorney and a great person.

  • Diane was extremely knowledgeable, effective, and strategic in helping us resolve our issues with our son's school. Once Diane got involved, the school district's attorney had to get involved, so we ended up with effectively TWO advocates explaining to the school that it had legal obligations regarding our child's Individual Education Plan. We thought that Diane would come in with a hammer, but we were completely and happily wrong. Diane treated the entire team - us, our child's teachers, the school administrators, and the school district's attorney - with great courtesy and brought a collaborative problem-solving spirit that proved extremely effective. While we are happy that we have resolved the issues with the school and have closed the case with Diane, we would hire her again in a New York minute.

  • Diane Wiscarson won my trust when she said, "I am going to fight for you and your son". I knew she was speaking from her heart. She is compassionate and yet very knowledgeable of the special education process. She had the tenacity to not give up until we were able to get the services needed. I would highly recommend her to any parent, wanting a highly skilled advocate for your child and an ally for you as the parent. Navigating through the special education process takes an expert and can be very overwhelming for the parent. I knew that Diane was on my team with her confident and persevering attitude and am greatly thankful to have had her support and input about every aspect of the process. Finally, I consider her a great education attorney and am very grateful for the referral to her.

  • Diane dealt with the school district, obtained an educational plan for my child and special education assistance, and he went from failing his high school classes to four As and a C. I am a paralegal and could not get them to budge. I only wish I had known about her when the trouble first started in middle school and not waited so long.

  • I don't know what we would have done without your help! Thanks you so much!

  • Diane helped guide us and our middle grade son to the proper educational setting. He has emotional issues and had a difficult time in a typical school setting. We strongly feel that our school district would not have been as cooperative if Diane was not there to assist us.

  • Diane has been our attorney for several years, assisting with our child's ongoing Special Education needs. Diane is knowledgeable, professional, and her help to our family has been invaluable. She is truly a gem!

  • Thank you again for all you have done for our family.

  • Diane is a true advocate for disabled students. She is knowledgeable, realistic, and fair. She places our children’s educational needs first and assists us in determining the best course of action to help ensure those educational needs are met. Words cannot express the gratitude we have in our hearts. Thank you.

  • You are a good and kind woman. What you do is a testimony of your goodness. Who fights for these children? You do. The world needs you. You have enriched my life… Thank you for the personal conviction you showed for [my son]. Thank you for the words of kindness. Thank you for doing what you do.

  • I can’t begin to tell you what you have meant in …our lives. The fact you were willing to make yourself uncomfortable and point out we were making a mistake if we didn’t pursue mediation will never be forgotten!

  • You represented [our son] as if he were your own, with the same passion we feel for him as well as having a stake in his future success in life. This is so very special and I would have to also say quite rare.

  • What can we say, “We were blessed the day you came into our son’s … and [our] life.” Saying thank you doesn’t really do you justice, you are awesome! The world is a better place because of people like you!

  • Thank you for your help with the IEP this year — we’re grateful! Things are great!

  • I want to thank you for your advice. When [our son] was 3, and in his 1st year of ESD, going into his second year — just your advice on demanding more time for [him] and the fact that he deserved and could get more therapy, helped so much. Thank you!

  • …thank you! What peace of mind to have the school district comply to meeting [our son's] needs. I believe this was accomplished by having your voice and support. [He] now has 1:1 assistance (in the IEP). His day is much safer and positive.

  • We appreciate your considerate letter regarding your specialization in your practice. We were fortunate to know you and have the benefit of your experience in our situation. You will be a tremendous advocate and legal assistance to clients in the area of special education law.

  • We all thank you very much! [He] has charmed everyone so far–I can’t wait to see how he wraps everyone around his finger come September! We are so excited!

  • Thanks again on all your help in getting [him] back on track. Looking forward to a successful school year. He is at camp this week and doing great!

  • You are awesome – you have been absolutely fantastic both [of us] are EVER GRATEFUL! I admire what you do and how you do it and I thank you for caring so much for my little darling!

  • I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for such a rare and wonderful person. You always say, “It’s my job.” But to choose a job like this is nothing but love.

  • Thank you for all you did for [us]. [She] graduated from 8th grade with a 4.0 and received the Presidential Award For Excellence signed by the President. She was very happy and excited. [She] is beautiful inside and out. Someday she will contribute a great deal to society. You are a big part of her success! There are so many kids and parents out there who will need you in the future. I know you will continue to help.

  • Diane Wiscarson helped us to find resolution to problems with our local school district that we had dealt with over a long period of time. At all times she centered the process towards meeting the needs of our daughter. She was wonderful to work with, straightforward and honest in what she could and could not do and yet it was evident that she cared about our daughter.

  • Diane understands IDEA and uses it to ensure that students receive the services that they should. Personally, working with Diane restored our faith that IDEA can and does work for the benefit of students with disabilities.

  • We would like to thank you for all your assistance in helping to get [our son's] problems solved and his education back on track. We couldn’t have done it without you.

  • Thank you to you and your great office for your hard work and commitment to children with special needs.

  • Diane, thank you so much!!! And, if [our daughter] could tell you, she’d say thank you from the bottom of her heart.

  • Thanks so much for your heart and representation that you provide for our special kiddos.

  • Thanks for helping us win today. It certainly was a victory, and seeing [my wife] happy for the first time following one of those meetings was worth it all in itself. We believe that [our daughter's] best interests were served today, and that’s what matters most. Thanks again. You are both good at what you do and fun to work with.

  • Thank you again on [our daughter's] behalf. You made a huge difference in her quality of life, quite literally!

  • Diane . . . Our accomplishment will help other kids in the future and I am very proud to have been a part of this. Thank you for your time and energy.

  • Thank you for serving our special kiddos…what a blessing you are.

  • Thanks for all you’ve done for us and for [our son]. We never would have gotten this far without you!

  • Thank you for your help and input. We have been very pleased with all your hard work and advocacy on behalf of our son and know that he would have been brushed aside if it weren’t for you! We certainly didn’t have a chance by ourselves!!!

  • Thanks again for all of your help. You have no idea how excited we are for [our child] to start 7th grade with plans in place. We do not kid ourselves and think there will be no problems but as least we have a great starting point. We look forward to referring you to other parents who could use your help!

  • Just want to say thank you for your great attitude, guidance and work this afternoon! I/we appreciate you!

  • Diane, Thanks for all you have done for our family!

  • Hi Diane. Since we left in such a hurry yesterday, we didn’t have a chance to thank you. So, sorry about doing this over email, but thank you so very much for your help. As you know, the money is life-changing for us. So thanks for your kindness, your support and for sticking with us. It means a lot.

  • Thank you so very much for your help. As you know, the money is life-changing for us. So thanks for your kindness, your support and for sticking with us. It means a lot.

  • Thank you so very much for all of your care, counsel, and compassion that you have extended to us in so many ways!

  • Thank you again for all your assistance on this as we are sure we would not have gotten all we did today without you.

  • Diane, many, many thanks!

  • It was very good to meet you last Wednesday. Thank you very much for taking the time to discuss the field of special education law. I appreciate you sharing your perspective and further avenues to explore. I will follow up on your suggestions and look forward to crossing paths with you in the future. Thank you once again.

  • Diane, thanks for everything!

  • Diane, thanks again for taking the time to chat with me. I always feel better after touching base with you. [My Husband] mentioned getting some business cards from you should we ever know someone who could also need your help. I will be in touch soon.

  • Thank you for the grad card and Borders gift card. I appreciate them very much! Take care, [Student]. P.S. Diane, [Student] just got a job at Red Robin!

  • Diane, thank you and your office for your hard work and commitment to children with special needs.

  • Thank you for your thoughtfulness and best wishes for my graduation.

  • Thank you for everything you have done for [our son]. He is doing much better this year without all the conflict

  • Thank you so very much for all of your care, counsel, and compassion that you have extended to us in so many ways!

  • We want you to know how valuable your presence, calm, perseverance and skill was in assistance to [our son] recently. We couldn’t have done it without you.

  • Thank you once again for your support and help today. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you being at these meetings with and for me.

  • Thank you for your time this morning. The call was very helpful to me. . . . Thank you for your never-ending support and commitment to kids with special needs.

  • Diane, I just wanted you and Deanne to know just how amazing you are! And there are no words to express the relief you have given to a concerned mother. Thank you so much!

  • You are a wonderful advocate for [my son] and have helped us get so much further along with his IEP than I could have done alone. Thank you for all your hard work.

  • Diane, Thank you for all of your hard work! I’ll never forget your kindness. You rock!

  • Thank you for everything you are doing to help. I appreciate all your hard work and have been grateful to have someone fighting for [my son] besides me. Sometimes it is quite discouraging when the resistance is so strong, but the best outcomes can come with the hardest battles. Thank you again for everything.

  • I just wanted to send a note and say thank you again for all of your help in resolving issues with [our school district} and obtaining the 504 plans. We appreciate all that you did. The school did a great job the rest of the year, and today is the last day!

  • Diane, thank you for your hard work and advocacy for [my son] and for all of your clients. You are making a major difference in the lives of your clients!

  • We needed an attorney to help us deal with special education law in Washington state. Diane Wiscarson knew the law inside and out and assisted in getting a very good program for our son while holding the school district accountable. She was easy to get a hold of and responsive.

  • Hi Diane, I just wanted to send a quick email thanking you for your work on Wednesday. Your presence made a huge difference and I’m very grateful for that. I know the end result of [my child's] 504 would have been far, far different without you there.

  • I hired Diane to review my daughter’s IEP, make suggestions, attend IEP meetings, and make requests of the school district. Diane always responded to my email and telephone messages within 24 hours. She maintained a professional and congenial manner. She was effective and knowledgeable. I am very grateful to Diane for helping me through a very rough year. The outcome couldn’t have been better.

  • Several months later, I was going through a similar problem at the graduate level. After attempting to get it resolved through the appropriate channels, I called Diane Wiscarson, and she guided me through the mess. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome, despite her thoughtful, unassuming nature.

  • I would not choose any other educational lawyer for my family. Diane Wiscarson is brilliant!

  • Ms. Wiscarson is a fantastic resource that every parent should know about. I had some questions about the steps involved with my son’s IEP. I found her to be extremely knowledgable and helpful. She helped me to be more informed about the IEP process. She gave me strength and support to feel confident in the whole process.

  • Thank you for everything. Thank you for your hard work & dedication & willingness to take a risk with this. I appreciate greatly the courage you had to fight for [my son]. I am grateful that you were willing to take it on

  • We are thrilled with the IEP outcome! We’re very relieved and happy. Thank you both so-o-o-o-o-o much!

  • First of all, I’d like to thank you for all of the help you’ve given my family to date! We are off to a good start for school. Seems like the “team” needs lots of meetings! Guess we’ll all have a “Family Reunion” in the future as [my son] emerges in his adult life. Best regards to you!

  • Thank you again for all you have done to fight for [my son]. Thank you for all the time and energy you have invested this last year.

  • Thank you for being our “bridge over troubled waters” this year! I so appreciate all that you do, and I wish you very happy and restful holidays. Thank you.

  • Thank you so much for pulling [our son]‘s IEP together so quickly and, of course, for your wonderful representation at the meeting itself. Also, thanks for all your patience!

  • I sent you a wee thank you treat, but forgot to include a note :). Your efforts on [my son]‘s behalf allowed us to retain some hope.

  • Thanks for getting us on the right path with [our son]. He had a great experience in ESY, and all of us are looking forward to smooth sailing this fall.

  • In looking back over our year we were talking about all the changes and what an amazing change we have seen in [our son]. This morning [my husband] said to me “Diane gave us the best advice we have ever gotten.” We want to say thank you . . . We had no idea what to do . . . but we are so glad we listened.

  • Thank you for everything you have done for us this past year. It has been a great school year for my son and it has been really terrific to see the progress he has made academically and socially. I know he would not be where he is if we had not had you to guide us and oversee what the teacher/district are doing.

  • Thank you so very much for all that you have done. Without your help, [my son] wouldn’t be where he is today.

  • She is doing great! Because of all your help, she is in a regular ed class with pull-outs for reading and a tiny bit of socialization. Truth be told, she wouldn’t have received all that she has and wouldn’t have progressed so far without you.

  • I had a GREAT attorney with a wonderful sense of humor. Thank you again. You have been such a support. I could not have done this without you!

  • I would like to tell you how much we appreciated the help in getting things right with the school. Our son is close to graduation this year and he is doing much better.

  • Thank you so much for everything that you have done for us. You have no idea how wonderful it was to get [my son] up for school today. He was literally glowing when he walked into school. It was like a rock star had arrived with all of his friends gathering around him. This has been the greatest day of my life (besides the day that my children were born) and I owe it all to you.

  • I appreciate all that you’ve done for us. I’m sure that you hear this a lot, but I’ll say it anyway. You covered me when I was so freaked out that I could not carry a thought. You treated me with great respect when I felt like all of the school district people thought I was stupid.

  • Thanks for all your support. Believe me, we couldn’t have made it this far without you!

  • Thank you for caring about kids. Because of you, my daughter has everything in place to help her be a successful adult. You played a significant role in providing her the educational opportunities she desires. She now has a chance to blossom into that bright loving woman who will influence many for good. I am so thankful that you were willing to help her.

  • Thank you for your help in gaining clarity with the school and working to improve my daughter’s IEP. You are straight forward with your approach and strategies to work with the school district. Your professionalism shines. I appreciate how you provided information and coached me to speak in a direct way that the school district could hear. My daughter will start middle school with the best IEP today after working with you. I trust that the frustration level will be lowered, which itself is a gift. Thanks again!

  • I want you to know that I really enjoyed working with you and wanted to thank you for everything. I felt like I was running into walls everywhere I turned. I know that my daughter will soar to new heights. She is a lovely girl, and she is smart. She just needs some maturity behind her and growth and she will make it! Thanks again!

  • Wow, what a journey! The tenacity, knowledge and professionalism that Diane has when working on finding solutions for students is amazing. My daughter and I wouldn’t have made it through the maze of procedures, the law, schedules and trying to find a way to work with our local school district, without her help.

  • Diane deserves an award for making the decision to specialize in this particular type of law. I cannot thank her enough for all that has been accomplished for my daughter. I know that others will also benefit from her hard work and dedication.

  • Thank you so much for all the great work you have done, not just for us, but my son as well. He is getting what he needs because of you. When I told him tonight that, come Monday, he would be getting more time in school and more classes, I just wish you could have seen the look on his face. He was glowing! I’m so thankful that we took the advice of a friend and came to you for help. I look forward to having your continued advice and will gladly refer anyone who needs help to you.

  • I would like to take the time to thank you for everything you both have done for my children. Without professional people like you, our children would have been swept between the cracks of our school system. I can’t thank you enough for their progress.

  • Thank you so much for your hard work and support for us during this last year!

  • I wanted to take a moment and tell you how much you have helped my son in this matter. You did your job well and it impressed me. I just wanted you to know that he has been making nothing but progress so far this year. He has had a few episodes, but has been making correct choices in his social environment, and from what I hear, making a lot of friends. We can’t thank you enough for all you have done.

  • I truly can’t thank you enough for putting up with me and getting me through this on a positive note. I truly appreciate all your hard work and candor. Thank you.

  • Diane is a true advocate for disabled students. She is knowledgeable, realistic, and fair. She places our children’s educational needs first and assists us in determining the best course of action to help ensure those educational needs are met. Words cannot express the gratitude we have in our hearts. Thank you.

  • Diane, I have appreciated your guidance, your enforcement and your persistence over the years. I don’t believe [our son] would have the support he has now without your help. I have recommended your services to others as I respect and value your knowledge and hard work in upholding the rights of special education children. I will always feel indebted to you.

  • I just wanted to thank you for doing such an outstanding job in our quest to do the right thing for [our son]. When I met you, I knew that you were the right person for the job. You were always prepared and offered us the support we needed.

  • Words can’t describe how much better we feel knowing that someone is willing to help us get our son’s educational needs met. I must admit — it was pretty awesome to watch you in action. So thank you again for all that you’ve done for us.

  • I just wanted to send you a quick note letting you know that our son is graduating from high school tonight. A couple of years ago I thought that this would have been impossible, that is until we met you. Thank you for all of the work you do for families like ours.

  • Once again, thanks for all the loving care and intelligence on the behalf of [our children]. We are very grateful.

  • We appreciate your taking the time to share your expertise and experience with us. If our daughter decides to use legal representation, you’ll be the one.

  • Words cannot express our gratitude to you or our relief in [our son's] placement. He is very happy at school, loves riding the bus, and reports to his mother that he is having “the best day ever” at school.

  • Thanks so much for your hard work this month. I’m still kind of dazed and disbelieving at how well that last meeting seems to have gone.

  • I want to thank you Diane. You have been a great support to our family! Your counsel has been a great help to me personally because advocating for [our son] alone has not been successful. I now feel like we are actually getting somewhere in the process. Before, I was like a deer caught in the headlights. Thank you again – you have been a godsend!

  • Just wanted to thank you for the attorney referral for my son. As a result, his legal situation ended a bit better than it could have been, and in time he will be able to rebuild his life and start on a new path. Once again, thank you so much! You were my guardian angel that day, and I don’t know what I would have done without you!

  • Just wanted to drop you a note and tell you thank you so much. I do feel that without you there for [our son] he would not be where he is today.

  • From a student: Thank you for helping my parents with my placement at school. For the first time in my life, I am attending a school where I can communicate visually with my hands. The people at [school] are very supportive, and every day here offers me a new opportunity to learn. Last week, I played in my first Special Olympics basketball game. Thank you for all you do!

  • Thank you again for your hard work for us and for all the families you help.

  • Throughout the process we came to admire and respect Diane’s strict adherence to an ethical practice. She diligently worked toward our benefit throughout the whole experience.

  • I wanted to thank you for all of your time spent helping our son. I don’t know how we would have made it without you. I really appreciate it.

  • Thanks again for all your wonderful support.

  • I would like to thank you for all your help this year. He has made tremendous progress this year. Although there is still work to be done, the school situation is 100% better than it was when I met you. I am not sure where we would be if I had not met you.

  • I wanted to thank you for being there for us this year and believe me, I know we’ll need you next year as well!! Thanks again for all your help Diane. We wouldn’t have made it without you!

  • Words cannot express our gratitude to you… He is happy at school, loves riding the bus, reports to his mother that he is having “the best day ever” at school.

  • On behalf of our family, we want to thank you for your diligence and efforts to help us sort out our options during this most difficult time.

  • Thank you so much for everything. We always enjoyed watching you work and how you were always on top of things, but we also enjoyed getting to know you as a person. It’s a great thing you do for families you represent. We were truly fortunate to have you as our attorney.

  • Thanks for your guidance and help on our issues. We know and draw comfort from the fact that you will keep fighting the good fight for the kids and families you serve.

  • Diane, Thank you so much for everything. I wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without your help. You were there for me when I needed it and your went as far as you can to keep me in school. I got through hell and half acre, and you’re one of the reasons why I have been able to do what I needed and to graduate. Thank you so much!

  • Well we did it! We got him through high school! It was iffy for a while, but he will complete his high school diploma.

  • Thank you! Thank you! for taking the time to talk with me about my son. I felt you were amazing and totally on our side. =)

  • Thank you, once again, for your ultimately professional support. [My husband] said that he learned an important lesson from you, to put everything in writing. Warmest regards.

  • Thanks for your guidance and help on our issues. We know and draw comfort from the fact that you will keep fighting the good fight for the kids and families you serve.

  • We feel fortunate that you were part of our son’s life for him to be successful (as much as he wanted to be) and graduate high school. You were there when I needed guidance and emotional support and that meant a lot to me. My goal for him was to obtain a regular diploma and he did!

  • Thank you for everything. If not for you I have no clue where [my son] would be in school now, IF he would have even been able to stay in that school.

  • I want you to know how much I have appreciated your knowledge and support. You relate with a genuineness that is refreshing, engenders trust and certainly does not fit the stereotype of your profession. I appreciate the work that you have done for our family and always felt that you “had my back” every step of the way. I’m glad you have to keep records for 6 years because I expect we will need you in the future. I feel blessed to have found someone with such a passion for this work.

  • It was great working with you, you are always the voice of reason. Thank you again!

  • Just a little note to tell you, You were right! Don’t you just love it when you hear that?

  • I can’t say enough how much I have valued your time and input.

  • I must thank you again, Diane. I will never forget how alone I was … until you came to my rescue. Thank you for guiding us through the school system and sticking up for her rights to an education. It has been so good for her.

  • Thank you for your help and for what you do for our kids. Have a great day.

  • … the IEP meeting this AM went very well, with all of his teachers raving about his progress on every front. He spends 90% of his time in the gen ed classroom, and he is at grade level in all his work. He is gifted in math, and just won a poetry contest! Just wanted you to know that you were on the side of right with this one, and we sure got the right answer for him!

  • Thanks again for you all you did for our family – we’ll never forget it!
